So the day has finally come. I knew it would someday, I just didn’t know how soon.
I had to get glasses.
Now I am not one to toot my own horn, but my vision is still excellent (I can still read the bottom line of the text at the eye test!). But more and more time spent on screens was making my eye muscles really tired and sore. So the glasses will just give me a little boost to help my eyes stay strong, heathy and not strained.
I do however take this as a note for some personal reflection. My eyes are telling me ‘hey Jen, stop looking at a screen all day will you’. So as much as I will be using these glasses when I need to, I will also be reassessing the time I spend all day looking at screens. I, luckily, control my day so I can control my screen time. Wish me luck!

Everything I could have hoped for and more. 26 of my favourite songs, dancing and singing the night away, all beside the man who I had met exactly 12 years previous. One of the best nights of my life, truly!
Favourite… Feeling – Laughter
Have you ever been literally bowled over with laughter? That’s exactly what we got when we saw Jason Byrne on Saturday. High expectations as we had seen him before but he did not disappoint. Laughter really does make you glow inside and out!
Favourite… Purchase – My glasses!
See above – I’m glad I went with the bright blue!
Favourite… Food/Drink – Indian Food
David and I checked out the last Hawkers market of the season in the Perth CBD and decided on some Indian food for dinner. Too dark for a picture but we loved dancing away to the Cuban band behind us. The goat curry and mango lassi in particular were on point!

Favourite moment of training – Deadlifts
Did a simple 2 rep deadlift during training today and it felt good. Sounds corny but deadlifts always make me feel happy and empowered!
Weekend Plans – Out tonight for a birthday party and then… Saturday – weekly shop, maybe lunch out, podcasting and food prep. Sunday – pancakes and newspapers, coffee out and a wonder around a local street festival. Then chill!
